Before I Get Old
This book is considered to be the definitive biography of The Who by many Who fans.
Said to have been written at the behest of Pete Townshend, this is a very thorough account of The Who during the
Keith Moon era (65-78). Although many new details have emerged about The Who in the years since its publication
and the author’s writing style can be a little imperious, this book still holds up. The author, Dave Marsh, is a prolific
rock biographer, was a founding editor of Creem magazine and an editor at Rolling Stone.
