With the departure of Richard
Wright to pursue a solo career. the
group is comprised of Waters. Dave
Gilmour and Nick Mason. Wright
already is at work on his second LP
for Columbia Records. Waters also is
expected to record a solo album.

The Townshend album is a two-
record set consisting of previously
unreleased demos and home record‘
ings made by Townshend between
the mid-GOS and now. Some of tunes
are original demo versions of songs
later recorded by The Who.

Townshend. the lead guitarist for
The Who. plays all the instruments
and handles the vocals on “Scoop." It
is Townshend‘s third solo album for
Atco Records.
