British Rock Symphony,
Choir to perform at DSU

CLEVELAND — The British
Rock Symphony and Choir are
headed for the Bologna Perform-
ing Arts Center at Delta State
University for a 7:30 pm. March
31 performance.

Featuring guest stars Billy Pre-
ston and Darlene Love, the show
presents rock ‘n roll histmy with
the music of the Beatles, The
Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin,
Pink Floyd and The Who.

The tour also features special
performances by Simon Town-
shend, lead guitarist and younger

brother of Who leader Pete Town-
shend, Mark Clarke, Alvin Fields,
Jimmy Jewell, Michael Messer
and Ben Townshend.

Conductor Keith Levenson has
transformed the rock master-
pieces into original symphonic
arrangements.

Driven by an orchestra, gospel
choir, a core rock band and vocal-
ists, the symphony performs in a
two-hour plus program.

The show that debuted to a
sold-out New York audience in
1999, presents over 20 songs by

Paul McCartney, John Lennon,
Mick Jagger, Keith Richards,
Peter Townshend, Robert Plant,
Jimmy Page, David Giklmour
and Roger Waters.
