SUMMER THEATER

The Muhlenberg Summer Muslc
Theatre Festival will hold prelimi-
nary auditions February 24-26 at
Muhlenberg College, Allentown, for its
two main stage musicals.

“Kiss Me Kate" (June 11-29) will be
the original 1948 Broadway version.

The second show is The Who's
“Tommy" (July 9-27), the classic '605
rock opera with music and lyrics by
Pete Townshend.

Potential applicants must e-mail
boxoffice@muhlenberg.edu before
Feb. 22 to secure an audition time.

There will be two parts to the
preliminary audition: a solo vocal
audition and a group dance audition.

- All roles for the two main-stage musi-
cals are open. Actors must be 16 or
older.

Applications are also available for
set, costume, lighting, box office and
administrative staffs for the summer.

Deadline is March 1. High school stu-
dents 16 and older can apply for in-

ART BENEFIT

Artwork is needed for an art show
and sale to benefit Gregory “Mr. Imagi-
nation" Warmack.

The Bethlehem-based artist lost his
home, studio and collection in a Jan.
20 fire, and all of the sale proceeds
from donated items benefit Womack.

Art will be accepted through the
end of February.

The show runs March 7-28 at
Northampton Community College's
Fowler Family Southside Center, Beth-
lehem, with a reception Match 7. An
auction will be held March 28 for
remaining pieces.

The deadline is Friday for entries in
the Greater Lehigh Valley Writers
