1964 – The Detours play the Oldfield Hotel in Greenford

1967 – The Who perform at the Orchid Ballroom in Purley, Surrey

1968 – The Who begin a 36-hour, five-stop flight from London to Sydney, Australia. Joining The Who on board for the tour are The Small Faces (with drummer Kenney Jones) and Paul Jones, ex-member of Manfred Mann and star of the recent movie Privilege, a science-fiction story of a pop singer who becomes a messiah figure and is ultimately rejected by his followers.

1969 – The Who play the Civic Hall in Nantwich, Cheshire

1973 – Rolling Stone magazine carries a review of the December 9, 1972 performance of Tommy at the Rainbow Theatre

1986 – Billboard magazine carries a two page spread advertising Pete and Roger’s solo appearances on The King Biscuit Flower Hour

1989 – Pete inducts the Rolling Stones into the Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall Of Fame at New York’s Waldorf-Astoria. He advises them not to grow old gracefully. “It wouldn’t suit you.” He also takes part in the ending jam session. Backstage he is repeatedly asked when The Who are going to tour again. According to one source Bono from U2 corners Pete and says he owes it to fellow band member John Entwistle to go out on the road with The Who to ease John’s debt burden. Pete however later says it was while enduring the flight back home economy class and getting off the plane with an aching back that he decided to make himself rich enough to always fly first class. In any case shortly after his return Pete agrees to accompany Roger and John on a 25th anniversary Who tour.

1997 – The John Entwistle Band performs at the Cakewalk exhibit at the NAMM convention in Anaheim CA. This live performance is also presented on an Internet-only cybercast hosted by Cakewalk Music Software and Intel. The cybercast makes musical history as The John Entwistle Band is joined by percussionist Pedro Vargas over an internet connection from a CAA/Intel Media Lab in Hollywood over 50 miles away.
