1968 – The Who play The Schaefer Music Festival at Wollman Skating Rink in Central Park, New York
1971 – The Who play a final if four nights at the Music Hall in Boston. Labelle is the opening act
1971 – The Who were to have played the Yale Bowl in New Haven, Connecticut but it is canceled due to problems at the two previous weekend concerts at the venue.

1976 – The Who play the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, Florida. The promoter screws up the promoting and only 30,000 attend the 80,000 capacity stadium. Naturally, The Who are very angry and it makes for one of their best shows climaxing in a tremendous instrument smashup.
1976 – A 3:30 edited version of “Slip Kid” backed with “Dreaming from the Waist” is released in the U.S. Despite coinciding with the U.S. tour, it fails to chart. You can listen to it on YouTube here
1978 – Pete and Keith appear on Good Morning America
1989 – The Who play the first of three night at the Lakewood Amphitheatre in Atlanta, Georgia
1993 – Pete performs at the Brooklyn Academy in New York City. The Show is broadcast on PPV and later made available on VHS, laserdisc, CD-i and DVD.
1994 – Roger’s “A Celebration of the Music of Pete Townshend” tour continues with a performance at Kings Wood Music Theatre in Toronto
